THE CHALLENGE 

The Sienna Diwali Celebration required more than a traditional community event—it needed to create an authentic, large-scale cultural experience that could engage families, support local vendors, and grow attendance year over year.

The challenge was to design an event that balanced cultural integrity with entertainment, logistics, and scalable infrastructure to support future growth.

 

THE STRATEGY

We approached the event as a fully immersive cultural experience—combining entertainment, education, and marketplace activations to engage attendees of all ages.

The strategy focused on:

  • Creating multiple engagement zones

  • Supporting local vendors and businesses

  • Integrating cultural storytelling through programming

  • Designing an event that could scale year-over-year

 

THE EXECUTION

The event was designed as a multi-zone, multi-sensory experience:

  • Full-scale fashion show production and coordination

  • Curated marketplace featuring 20+ vendors (jewelry, apparel, food, cultural goods)

  • Interactive henna and face painting stations

  • Custom photo activations and branded experiences

  • 5+ traditional dance groups with live performances and audience interaction

  • 3+ stages for DJs and live music programming

  • Educational craft stations teaching children about Diwali traditions

  • Large-scale fireworks show to close the event

 

YEAR - OVER - YEAR GROWTH & EXPANSION 

The event quickly evolved into a high-demand annual experience, scaling significantly year-over-year:

In its first year, the event launched with:

  • 350 attendees

  • 4 event sponsors

By year two, the event scaled significantly:

  • 750+ attendees

  • 25 dance groups

  • 10 event sponsors

  • Radio and media coverage

  • Expanded marketplace with 30+ vendors

 

EVENT GROWTH & COMMUNITY IMPACT

  • 100%+ attendance growth year-over-year

  • Expanded vendor participation and local business visibility
